This is my final major project or FMP. It is the culmination of being apart of this course for 2 years and putting forth the techniques I have learnt and telling a narrative that shows what I am as a film maker. Below I am going to be talking about my movie and how it emerged from the thought process stage to become the finished product that it is.
My fmp is called 100mgs and it is a science fiction piece that it is also a found footage film, it centres around the protgonist Daniel Brite who is a tester for a pharmaceutical company and he becomes a tester for a batch of new "life enchancing drugs" which offer a variety of different powers to its user. Daniel begins to reocord his results over the coming days and shows off his new powers. However there appears tobe some unknown side effects.
The film was shot over the easter holiday over several days. Extra time was added to the post production phase because post production is definitely one of my weaker fields. I had looked up many different tutorials before hand and I was very familiar with the mask tool by the end of post production. I believe one of my
greatest strengths as a film maker is my writing ability and coming up with inventive ideas. I am not a cinematographer my eye for a great camera shot or being able to use the best lighting however I believe that my practical style and somewhat quirky story telling is what defines me as a film maker.

The FMP is always a solo effort for the most part it is you who comes up with the concept and writes the script and will direct it. But you may need actors or camera operators, sound operators post production guys. Everyone submits a fmp but it js a team effort. For my fmp however I wanted to approach things slightly differently. For my previous projects I always worked in a group where we each had our strengths to overall make a strong piece of fiction. For my FMP I wanted to push myself out of the comfort zone and I wanted to make this movie all by myself pre, production and post handled by me and I'll be honest it was a challenge im definitely suited to working in a team environment where there are multiple sources of motivation and everyone is working to their strengths.
In the end it was an interesting experience I have learnt a lot particularly in post production This has not been my most technically superior piece of work but it shows myself and what I am passionate about which is telling stories.
