Pre-production (including sound)

This is the synopsis for our corporate video the Royal Hotel in Southend on Sea.

The video opens of shots around Southend before coming to establishing shots of the hotel itself. There are interior shots of the bar room itself, close ups of different areas before panning around the bar, there s a fade before showing an establishing shot of the Royal hotel at night and shots of an event that took place in the basement getting close ups of the DJ then the video cuts to the candle light event before finishing with contact information for the hotel.

Sound

Sound is very important in any production on any scale, considering the fact that one of the main selling points of our clients is many different music events they host sound is going to be crucial. We are going to be filming an event called "The Candle Light Event" which is on every Sunday at the Royal Hotel, the event is an open mic event where people go and perform for the evening, making sure this is recorded properly and and professionally is important. For our corporate video we used a  Zoom H1 recorded which is a nice piece of equipment which will be the main recorder for all of our audio. It is a directional microphone which I have worked with before and it does record very crisp audio however there are some drawbacks with it, for once to get the most use of the Zoom you are going to have to keep it stationary as you would be able to hear noises such as you are moving it also you are going to have to keep it fairly close to the action otherwise it won't pick it up although if you just leave it in a solitary position you're not going to have much of an issue.
